The 2025 World Beach Games for the Physically Disabled, held for the first time in the world, began with an opening ceremony in Mersin. Approximately 400 athletes from 26 countries competed in various sports, with students from the Barrier-Free Life Unit, Barrier-Free Campus Community, and Special Education Teaching Department volunteering.
